I urge, then, first of all, that requests, prayers, intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone--for kings and all those in authority, that we may live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness. This is good and pleases God our Savior who wants all men to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth. For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus, who gave himself as a ransom for all men--the testimony given in its proper time  (1 Timothy 2:1-6).

• An outpouring of the Holy Spirit and revival of what is most precious to God in our land (Psalm 85)
• Thanksgiving for how God has blessed America (Psalm 100)
• Repentance and forgiveness for the sins of our nation (1 John 1:8-2:2)
• For President Obama, our government leaders, and government leaders around the world (Romans 13:1-7)
• Wise and godly candidates in all elections (Proverbs 3)
• Judges and courts to render godly judgments (Luke 18:7)
• Protection for all our soldiers and an end to war
• That the fellowship of believers will be characterized by genuine love, by caring for one another in a spirit of unity
• For a worldwide vision of evangelism that moves beyond our own culture

Prayer

We exalt You, Lord. Thank you for the privilege of corporate worship in America.  May our praise rise like a symphony.
